Name: Eplunia (Plune) C. Eyre

Level: Two.
Experience: 1200 EXP.
Gold: 1000 GP.
Race: Elf
Class: Assassin
Gender: Female
Age: 27
Alignment: Evil
Element: Earth
Items: None.

Appearance: Plune's hair is brown and straight, but most of the time looks like a unique hybrid of "clean" and "bed-head." When she does make her hair look nice, she wears fancy and attractive outfits as well. Other than that her clothes are light and raggy looking; whatever keeps her decent in public is fine with her. Not that she needs good clothes to look nice. Her youthful Elven features make her the attention of many lustful human men when she is in their towns.

Biography: Written on a piece of paper addressed to no one--
If you're reading this, then it was probably meant for you. If this isn't meant for you, then what do I care if you read it or not?

My life started out being a cute little Elven baby in a tiny, beautiful Elven village somewhere in the middle of Baasar. Basically, I was a legacy. My parents were son and daughter of two of the most famous families any Elf could know, and I was simply the result of an arranged marriage. Of course they loved each other for some time, but remember how this is my story? We can worry about them later.

So what I meant by "famous families" was actually "powerful families." You see, children in either of the two families tended to be early developers in magic. So naturally, it was expected of me to become a toddler magic prodigy as well. As soon as i was out of diapers I was into the school of the arcane learning the basics of the arts. I was pretty good at magic too; before any of the other children I as able to throw rocks without touching them or swim underwater without taking any breaths. My teachers and my parents loved me, or maybe they only loved that I was one of those "early developers." Either way, I loved the attention I was getting.

With time, I got better and better at using magic. Also with time, my parents grew farther and farther apart from each other. They went from loving each other to only loving me, and their relationship was struggling to survive. Sadly for them, it was nearly forbidden to leave your partner once you have a child with them in my culture. My father, who had been secretly seeing another woman besides my mom, decided to kill himself because he was so unhappy. In his suicide note, he apologized to me and my mother, but refused to admit exactly who his secret lover was.

In the confusion over my father's death, I began to curse the institution that drove him to his death. If it could have been allowed for him to be with who he wanted, he would still be alive. Within a few years, I grew so full of hatred for my own Elven culture, me and my best friend decided to leave Baasar to live n a human city.

Linose was her name, and she deemed me Plune. (With her disregard for traditional Elven names, she also called herself Lin.) Lin and I lived in a small Human village somewhere between Carayos and Bientin for some time. Just getting used to a new culture was so much fun! But getting food to live off of, was another story. Because neither me nor Lin wanted to kill animals, we got our meals by stealing from people.

We lived for a few years like that, moving from village to village getting money here and there whenever we pleased. Eventually, when i was about 19 years of age, Lin and I had enough cash to buy a small cabin in Bientin. By this time, we had gotten smart in the social systems of Humans. Some of them didn't enjoy magic, which was a disdain to me, but the majority of them HATED alchemy. Lin almost got arrested for trying transmute a table out of some crates so we could eat on something, and the people went berserk. Using alchemy was even worse than stealing to them! Sadly for me, my affinity for magic was left unpracticed for years anyway, and most of my powers were depleted. Lin was the weird one; even though there was a great risk, she always kept her alchemy in good shape.

Other than the anti-magic thing, I enjoy the Human system of government. It seems much better than the unchanging system of an Elven hierarchy. But then again... there was that one time they almost killed that werewolf simply for being a werewolf.

That was the first day I had ever killed anyone, but it was for the sake of someone's life. Well, if the right person is reading this, I shouldn't need to explain much further. I just want you to know that if you're going to leave me, it shouldn't be because you don't know anything about me. We've been through too much together for something ridiculous like that. (I know what your real reason for leaving is anyway.) Other than giving you my life story, I'd like you to know that me and Hare are doing OK. I miss you, and I'm looking for you.

Merits: Accepting of different people, loves nature, carefree.
Flaws: Quick to act, apathetic of social norms, sometimes doesn't think of what her actions will do.

Friends: Lin: Plune's best childhood friend in their Elven hometown. They lived together in several places on North Zoshnel, and Lin now lives in a small house in the city of Bientin. She now works as a librarian and has been practicing her alchemy while hiding it from her Human neighbors.

Antebus: (Rosybrown) A human werewolf that Plune saved from certain death in the city of Bientin by killing one of the officers that was ordering Antebus' execution. To escape arrest, Plune left with him to live in a forest some miles away. They took to each other quickly, but Antebus was naturally afraid that he would turn into his wolf form and kill Plune if he stayed around her, so he came up with ridiculous reasons for them not to live together.

The last time Plune and Antebus met was at a small village in North Zoshnel where the town militia was planning to wipe out a werewolf pack. Thanks to Plune's preparation before the battle, the werewolves easily slaughtered the soldiers. Soon after, she made a remark about other werewolves, and Antebus refused to speak with her after. Plune fears that she might never see him again.

Hare: A large green grasshopper that follows Plune around wherever she goes like a loyal pet. Plune first met Hare in the forest where she lived with Antebus. She was swimming one day and saved Hare from the water because she hates to see any kind of bug or animal suffer. The grasshopper will not always be directly with her, but he will always be in the vicinity. Sometimes he stays on her shoulder for hours at a time.

Equipment: Pendant of Clarity: A magical pendant that Plune was given as a child in her Elven hometown. It glows a bright red whenever she needs to see in the dark, and it also indicates whenever danger is near. (It might shine directly at something that Plune would otherwise trip over, or it might flash red whenever something or someone dangerous is near.) The light can be "turned off" whenever Plune needs to stay hidden as well.

Physical Abilities:

Basic Self Defense: Plune has gotten into quite a few brawls since her coming to Zoshnel, and she wasn't a weakling to start out with. She is naturally fast and strong and holds her own even in unarmed combat.

Level 1: Plune is good fighting with her fists, but is slightly clumsy and doesn't know how to kick very well. She also cannot defend herself from most kinds of weapons.
Level 2: Plune is less clumsy, and can defend against blunt weapons. She is beginning to incorporate kicks in her fighting style.
Level 3: At this level, Plune is slightly more agile and is not very clumsy at all while fighting. She is now even better at fighting people with simple, blunt weapons, and bladed weapons are not as bad. Also, Plune is getting better at kicking.
Level 4: Plune can now fight or block any kind of weapon as if she were wielding her own, and she is not clumsy at all in her fighting.
Level 5: Plune is now a master at unarmed combat. She can fight any kind of armed enemy, and has never been more agile or strong in her life.

Rolling Stone: Using her root ability, Plune literally pushes herself forward using long strides to run at startling speeds. (Once Root has been activated, she can lift her feet from the ground and begin to run.) For lower levels, Plune has trouble turning while she is running, so this is mainly good for running long and straight distances, or barreling into someone. Rolling Stone cannot be leveled past whatever level Root is at. Also, if Basic Self Defense is leveled past 2, she can use a running drop kick combo to deal severe damage.

Level 1: Plune can run at above average speeds, and can use this ability to tackle even large men.
Level 2: Plune can almost keep up with deer and other wild animals while running, and she can now easily push through crowds of people.
Level 3: Plune bounds are now even longer, and she can outrun most animals.
Level 4: Plune can break through most walls, but in doing so she can injure herself or slow herself down to a much slower speed.
Level 5: Plune carries the force of a bulldozer when she gets to her top speed at this point, and she can cover large distances quite quickly. Turning isn't as hard as it was before either.

Object Throwing: Plune grabs whatever she can get her hands on and throws it at an enemy. Levels 4 to 5 in this skill require at least a level 3 Root ability, and the heavier the object is, the less likely it is to hit it's exact target. (If objects are too light, they are likely to be swept away by the wind as well.)

Level 1: Plune throws objects at an abnormally fast speed, but they often miss.
Level 2: Her accuracy is slightly better.
Level 3: Plune can throw objects that normal people would have trouble with. Her range is slightly better.
Level 4: Plune surprises large men with her strength. She can throw objects almost as heavy as her respectable distances. her accuracy is slightly near perfect now as well.
Level 5: Plune can throw objects that are as heavy as her great distances. If she tried, she could probably take small trees out of the ground. Her range is devastating and her accuracy is near perfect.

Magical/Alchemical/Technological Abilities:

Root: Plune uses the remnants of her magical powers to magically stabilize her feet to the ground she is standing on. This ability is closely related to both the Object Throwing and the Rolling Stone skills. Both of her feet must be on solid ground to activate this ability.

Level 1: Plune is much harder to knock down, and she hardly ever loses her balance with this ability active.
Level 2: It becomes harder for an opponent to move Plune while she is fighting, and her attacks become slightly more solid.
Level 3: Even large opponents cannot move Plune's feet unless they are very powerful, and her attacks are more forceful because she can put more weight into each punch.
Level 4: Plune's attacks are much heavier because of her connection with the earth, and it is near impossible to knock her down or move her feet while she is still conscious and using this ability. Her opponents suffer a slight knock back at this level.
Level 5: Plune's attacks now carry the force of the earth while this is active, as she is very solidly "rooted" to the ground. Her opponents are sure to get knocked back a large distance if she gets a solid hit on them.

Support Abilities:

Animal Connection: Plune's Elven blood allows her to have an empathic connection with animals. The more familiar with an animal she is, the stronger the psychic connection is between them. If an animal does not like her, it is not likely it will let her know what it's thinking.

No levels.

Natural Botanist: An affinity for caring for many kinds of rare plants, Plune carries many kinds of herbs with her that she can make into different kinds of poisons or healing potions. They are easy to make once she knows how, but they go bad quickly, so she hardly ever keeps any with her. They are made on a need to use basis. (Any of the powders she would basically just throw at her opponent in the form of a dust cloud. Their effects last for 2 to 3 minutes.)

Level 1: Plune can make itching powders, simple antidotes, and aloe creams (for burns)...
Level 2: ...stinging powders, healing balms (for minor woulds)...
Level 3: ...antidotes for lethal poisons as well as vials of lethal poison (must be drank)...
Level 4: ...blinding powders (must go in eyes), enhancing ethers (used to boost a person's attack and defense temporarily)...
Level 5: ...paralyzing powders, and advanced healing potions (for severe cuts or bruises).
