The old software (Invisionboard 1.3) was old, outdated and full of security leaks.

No, older versions of vBulletin cost money and had security errors. Windows also costs loads of money and is full of errors.

the point was just that with invisionboard known errors and security risks didn't get fixed anymore, unless your bought the new version. If you have to buy forum software vBulletin is the best there is.

I just recieved a $30 check in the mail today, bringing the total amount raised to $170!!! Operation Pay for vBulletin is complete! :woohoo: The extra $10 will go to the costs of running the site.

(ps. If you didn't donate, I'm disappointed, but no hard feelings. I would really like to donate some money, but unfortunately: 1) im broke 2) still no credit/debit card 3) have a paypal account, but there's no way i can put money on it 4) still no job. As soon as one or more of these small problems get fixed, i swear to donate. Until then, put it on my tab ^_^
