We had a couple of outages recently:
2006-11-15: 10:35 - 12:46 PST
------
Complete power failure in the CARI C2 datacenter (the datacenter where this server is hosted. They had to stagger powering all the equipment back up to prevent spikes. This resulted in over 2 hours of downtime
2006-11-16: 04:31 - 07:36 PST
------
After I crawled out of bed to see why my alerting was going off, I found out that the switch that feeds this server had died. This resulted in over 3 hours of downtime.
Needless to say, I am pretty pissed off. I'm going to squeeze a free month out of them for having 5.5 hours of downtime in a 24-hour window. In addition I am working to purchase my own 1U server and put it in a more redundant facility in downtown LA. This will probably happen at the end of the year assuming I can get good rates negotiated.
Anyway, let me know if you have questions. :bleh:
