Quartet for Strings

OK. madmazda86 had this great idea of having everyone join in to make a unique song measure per measure; this is going to be VERY similar

RULES

I ~ You must keep the song in Eb Major/C Minor; NO KEY CHANGES. It must also stay in 4/4 time.

II ~ You are only allowed to add 8 measures to the given piece. YOU CANNOT EXCEED 8 MEASURES

III ~ You may not add or delete an instrument from the given piece; the piece is made only for a Pair of Violins, a Viola, and a Cello.

IV ~ Additions must only be submitted in a MIDI format, with the previous sections included. You may not move around previous 8 measure sections to other places, for that could make some composers mad and possibly cause arguments.

V ~ Most importantly, BE CREATIVE! One of the things that makes this different from the Round Robin Composition is that you get to use 8 measures rather than one, allowing much more freedom.

With that, you are all free to compose your 8 measure increments. Be sure when you join them with previous sections to make them sound like they actually belong in that place. I will post the beginning section to get everyone started; Good Luck!

alrighty... thanks to one of my good friends suggestion, I'm going to try to finish this by myself. If there was anyone that was trying to make increments themselves, I'm really sorry. I will, however, post my string quartet composition on this thread when its finished, so look back

Your friend is right ^^; you should finish it . . it's really good, and I think that you wrote so much of it already that you owe it to yourself to complete it, according to the vision you have so far.

I'm really sorry for hideously neglecting the Round Robin - the RP kinda pushed it to one side a bit (_ _) Will try and get it started again by posting a section - I'm so hopeless with cadences and stuff though
