MAKE ME DANCE!
ICHIGO'S FORUMS CONTEST
__________________________________________
Ichigo's is bringing to you "MAKE ME DANCE", a music composition contest to spark this year! We are seeking a composer capable of making our community to want to get out of the chairs and dance!
WHAT WILL YOU DO?
Research the dance music of any culture that you are interested, and compose an original piece based of their rhythm. It can be anything from old style to modern style. Anything that feels danceable is welcome (e.g. waltz, cha-cha-cha, samba, gavotte, ragtime, minuet, merengue, mazurka, vallenato, dubstep, techno, house, etc). You are not restricted to incorporate just one genre, have fun blending various styles if you want. We would like to highlight that you are also free to experiment and come up with something trully unique if you do not want to research or base your music in existant styles.

6. Editing composition will not be allowed after AUGUST, 5.

Thanks for making a competition on something that I'm in the mood to write. <3
Might we be able to extend the maximum to at least 5 minutes, though? 3 minutes seems to be much too short for a piece to be limited to (especially in the spirit of dance music).

My main concern is genre bias but It doesn't really matter for me since this is all for fun within Ichigo's community

Thank you. I've forgotten I've had to write a paper the last couple of weeks.
I'll try to still write something this week!

Well... this may seem like a random time, but I have a song I want to enter. I think you'll find some parts very danceable. By danceable I mean bobbing your head.
