I see... well, you can go to Noteworthy composers website and download the demo. In my opinion it's much easier to use than finale (but it was also the first one that I was introduced to). There is a few good loophole in the Demo version that might prove useful.
It allows you to save MIDI! all you have to do is click FIle and go to "Save as" and save it as a type 1 or type 0 MIDI. I don't really know the difference, so find that out for yourself.
It only allows you to save a file ten times, but after yor final save, you can just copy the score and paste it to a new file. now you got a clean slate!
but just in case that makes you feel guilty after a while (like it did to me) you can always buy it. last time I checked it's only about 40 bucks, which is very inexpensive compared to most others that I've seen.
