Do you mean 2 rhythms in one hand, or 2 rhythms in 2 hands?

I am no longer dealing with MIDI transcriptions due to lack of time.

Try doing the left hand first, get the rhythm stuck in your head, then do the same with the right hand, and then practice doing both hands together.-

Do little exersices. Mainly having a teacher, or just good will power and talent will lead you do get this down.

it comes with practice, and probably only practice, because you have to develope your brain to be able to control the both of your hands individually.
One of the basic practice is to do formula patterns (bah it's hard to explain through text...uh..it's a type of scale )

Thank u for the reply's.
Well, it isn't gonna get me there with talent .
It's just for 1 bar in a sheet so what i have to do is practise over and over again till i'm in some sort of trance
How long did it take you guys to pull this off?
And another thing how do you even start practicing just play that one bar over and over again in the wrong way that doesn't sounds like it's getting me any further.
In a few days my lessons start again but i can't wait no longer
scale 0o

The Bold is pretty much what it is-technically speaking.
It's something which you develop over time as well too. I remember just playing two separte parts in different hands was near impossible, but I progressed (I guess having talent makes you progress 60% faster, though that's an entire different story---EGO!) overtime, and got used to it.
You'll get it down, don't worry. Weither it takes you a short time or a long time, you'll get it if you can beleve you can do it, and then you'll notice that it's natural..
(Good luck with those lessons!)

it's better to practice phrase by phrase (like usually 4 bars, or 8 bars at a time) then bar by bar in my opinion

Um... I think you people are missing his point here...
Maybe he means that you can't play some pieces that are made for 2 pianos, like 2 simutaneous staffs all stacked around the same keys - I've seen those before, and I was like WTF? If that's the case, avoid those pieces.
But if he means something like Fantasy Impromptu, fitting 8 into 6, then it all comes with PRACTISE... Try playing each hand separately for a start, and when you can memorize where the notes/keys are, put both hands together, and DON'T THINK and DON'T TRY to make them fit - it won't work! Just play both hands as if they're from separate pieces. You'll eventually get the speed right, and they'll automatically fit into each other...

I believe what he mean is a fugue where one hands plays a melody and the other hand plays a conflicting melody...

Ah, ok... I've tried those before, they're not that hard, just brain teasers... You'll be right if you don't think about it...
